fast car jimmi; Rant of the day? HYPE! No not the shoe store but rather may i quote Webster "to promote or publicize extravagantly". Hype has been the root of destruction of everything cool. The latest example The Dark Knight. OK yes it IS a very good film and YES, Heath Ledger's performance was both phenomenal and captivating. However I do not need to hear that from FUCKING everyone that thinks they are a god damn Batman critic just because they have watched 2 Christopher Nolan films. If you really want to critique it watch the original 1989 Batman with Jack Nicholson and all the graphic novels such as The Killing Joke, Year One and The Long Halloween, before you start judging likeness to character. Although my viewing of the movie was pleasant i cannot help but think that my interpretation of it was slightly marred due to my disdain of faux Batman fans constant jabbering of the films' quotes and perhaps of the cries of a baby in the cinema. LIKE WTF?!? Who brings a fucking baby into a movie, thats just against the unwritten laws of a cinema. That aside, what else has hype destroyed? Well theres the iPhone which i think is totally overrated and a rip off, now that it is all hyped up. Australian Idol has also fallen prey to hypes destructive force. Before it was an outlet to find an actual good singer but now every two bit hack who thinks they can sing better than a dying cat tries out and we get an influx of shitty d grade singers who only get number one hits cause BMG malnipulates the charts via a goat sacrificing ritual and only rides off the free publicity coat tails that Idol provides. Rap music i say is the biggest casualty of Hype. It used to be a cool way for black guys even fat ugly ones to express themselves, get women and have a reason to shoot people and sound heaps badass. But ever since Vanilla Ice came along it went all downhill. He got it soo hyped up that all of these wiggars come out thinking they can make money and start trying to bust some rhymes only to be shot down, like literally. Tupac and Bigge will be disgusted with the new rap out, TUPAC IS ALIVE I KNOW IT! Im sure i will touch on this topic in a more structured manner, however this is just word vomit, VOMIT I SAY! Now for the quasi coherent part of the post. Dreams. What are they? Are they an interpretation of stimuli that we have encountered during a day out, or are they are gateway to a peek into our future or possible worlds? I have been having really fucked up dreams of late, such as last night i was a disco dancing cowboy having a dance off with a guy in a bear suit. Obviously my rope was no match for his moonwalk. So what does this all mean? I need to stay off drugs haha. Tortured soul in mind Paranoia comes around Everything is grey Peace out lovers! ps. Annieo I think you can spell fine ;) |
